On November 13th, 2010 Jamaica Hospital proudly celebrated its 119th anniversary Rainbow Ball at the Abigail Kirsch Stage 6, Steiner Studios in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The venue’s ambiance alone reflected the high esteem and stature of the 353 guests that attended to honor the hospital’s achievements since the beginning of the new millennium.
The balck tie event featured a live band, delightful cocktail hour and a formal dinner. The evening’s entertainment was colorful and fun, playing a range of different genres that the entire crowd enjoyed. All in all, the event was a success, honoring Jamaica Hospital's employees for their continued dedication and hard work over the past decade, while maintaining the hospital's reputation as second to none in the community.
The Rainbow Ball was a huge success and was able to raise over $234,000. Over the past decade,the hospital has made advancements and upgrades including the opening of the new Trump Pavilion, the expansion of the TJH Medical services, the building of new LDR Suites, the addition of an entire medical/surgical unit on the hospital’s 6th floor and the establishment of our Palliative Care program, just to name a few.
