Braving the chilly temperatures and winds, about 240 guests gathered at Old Westbury Country Club to participate in the 12th Annual MediSys Golf and Tennis Classic, held on May 10.
Despite the weather, golfers and tennis players spent the day jovially vying for some of the event's coveted awards. After about six hours on the golf course and tennis courts, participants attended a dinner reception, where David P. Rosen, President and CEO of the MediSys Health Network, and Bruce J. Flanz, Executive Vice President and COO of the MediSys Health Network, gave remarks and presented the event’s chairman, Dr. Cono Grasso with an award. At this time, prizes were also given to the highest scoring players/foursomes. The most anticipated part of the evening was the calling of over 20 raffle prizes, which ranged from restaurant gift cards to an Apple iPad to a golfers vacation getaway to Florida.
The event raised over $220,000 for Jamaica and Flushing Hospital’s endoscopy services.
