The Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society, an international non-profit organization whose purpose is to improve the scientific basis, promote sound treatment protocols and standards of practice in Hyperbaric Medicine, has granted Brookdale’s 
Hyperbaric and Wound Healing Center a three year accreditation. There are only 59 hyperbaric facilities in the United States that have received this accreditation and Brookdale’s is the only one in the New York Metropolitan Area to have achieved it. This prestigious accreditation was awarded to the Department headed by Edward Golembe, MD after undergoing a rigorous patient care, staff, safety, installation, operation and maintenance survey.
